Choosing the Product, the Company and the Team The network marketing company you select can make a big difference in your experience and your income. Steady growth in the industry means there are now hundreds of MLM opportunities from which to choose. How do you determine which one is best for you?
Let me start with a couple of crucial points. 1. It’s Your Business You must be clear that even if you choose to become a distributor, and include multi level marketing as part of your home based business, you are first and foremost
in business for yourself. You do not work for the network marketing company.

While many MLM opportunities may want to convince you that they are the ticket to financial freedom, I would advise you to take your grandmother’s advice: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. |
Including an MLM opportunity in your home based business strategy may work very well for you. I encourage you to allow yourself to remain open
to other income-producing activities and strategies as well. Multiple Sources of Income Explore other avenues for producing income that fit well with your niche. Some examples of additional revenue sources: • Develop partner relationships with others of like mind • Become an affiliate of companies with compatible products • Create your own product (ebooks, webinars, classes, coaching) |
Choosing the Right MLM Company
1. Products
Do the products interest you?
Do they provide quality and value?
Are they in high demand?
Give the products a test drive.
2. Company
How long have they been around?
How are their earnings and growth?
How is the compensation plan?
How many levels deep does the compensation go?
What bonuses or incentives are offered? The monetary compensation available to the independent representatives can make a big difference. Do some exploring, and learn about the company.
3. The Team
Network marketing is organized around a team model. There will be members who joined before you (your upline) and those who will join after (your downline). How is the team leadership?
What kind of training and support do they offer? Good leadership is a vital component for team success.
Is It A Good Fit?
This is the most important point of all, and the sum total of the other three. Is this product this company and this team a good fit for YOU? Always do what is best for you.
